Our current building is poorly configured, in constant need of maintenance, and does not adequately serve our community's needs.
A new building would be able to provide a larger shelter space to serve more residential clients at once as well as more streamlined staff offices to offer greater privacy to nonresidential clients.
The Family Crisis Center of the Big Bend
Provides scheduled, walk-in, and emergency services to clients who have experienced Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Violent Crime, or Teen Dating Violence. In 2021 we were able to serve 451 clients with 41 of those clients spending time in one of our two emergency shelters. A larger building would allows us to make an even greater impact on all five counties that we serve.

Donate today to help us towards our goal!
In 2022, the Family Crisis Center purchased the building located at 402 E. Gallego, formerly the Alpine Community Center. We continue to raise funds to renovate this building into our new Alpine office and shelter. We believe this building will be the perfect location for our new office and shelter.
We appreciate the kindness and generosity of our friends and community. Your donation does make a difference!
Sharing Success Grant
In September of 2022 the Family Crisis Center received the Sharing Success Grant from Rio Grande Electric Cooperative and their partners; CoBank, Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) Transmission Services, and LCRA WSC Energy.
